The Rooster Who Came for Tea (poem)

[a reimagined version of The Tiger Who Came for tea]

In a quaint cottage, 'neath skies so blue,
Lived Mei-Li and Aunt Mei, a spirited duo.
With feathers and laughter, their days were filled,
As roosters and nature their hearts gently thrilled.

One sunny afternoon, a Rooster came by,
With confidence gleaming, he held his head high.
"Tea time!" cried Mei-Li, her eyes shining bright,
As Aunt Mei joined in, hearts soaring in flight.

The table was set, with love and with care,
The Rooster partook in their whimsical fare.
His presence was magic, a joy to behold,
As tales were exchanged, and friendships grew bold.

The hours danced by, like the leaves in the breeze,
With laughter and stories, under tall, ancient trees.
Mei-Li and Aunt Mei, with the Rooster so dear,
Shared moments of wonder, forever held near.

As dusk painted the sky, in colors so grand,
They bid their farewell, hand in feathered hand.
With hearts full of gratitude, and memories spun,
They knew in their hearts, this day was well done.
